My First 'Threading' Experience

Hello lovelies,

So as the post tittle suggests, yesterday i got my eyebrows threaded for the first time and believe me this was long overdue. I usually just get them waxed and tinted from my friend, who is a brilliant beautician. However, i've been neglecting my eyebrows lately and i've been sporting some very untidy brows.

Yesterday i was indulging in some Saturday shopping at my local shopping centre, when i was in Superdrug and noticed they had opened a 'Super Brow Bar' within the shop. Perfect oppertunity to get my unruly brows tamed right there and then.

They had a promotion on, it was £5 to get them threaded, i also opted to get them tinted aswell so the total was £15. I have to say, i'am very pleased with them. It was a bit 'ouchy' but the results out weighed the pain and it only took about 10 minutes. I'm very pleased with the tint aswell. As i have quite fair hair, i always feel the need to use my Benefit Brow Zings kit in medium. I think i'm still going to use this to give them a little more definition but i wont be relying on it so much.

Here they are! Please excuse the 'no makeup', Sunday is my day of not wearing a scrap of it :)

My much loved, Benefit Brow Zings. As you can see it's been well used, i love it!

I think i prefer getting them threaded over getting them waxed. I really want to try the whole HD Brows but its quite expensive, maybe as a special Birthday treat.

Have any of you lovely ladies had your eyebrows threaded?

  5. I used to have my eyebrows threaded (should really get them done again...my eyebrows are not so tame) but find it difficult to pay £15 or so for what is essentially skill with a piece of string! Does lead to good results though xx

    1. I agree, I've been trying to teach myself on YouTube haha. It was £5 initially, the tint was £10?! (must be expensive tint) but I do like the results

  14. It looks really good! I have gotten my eyebrows waxed before but the last time she did them way too thin...I guess because a lot of women in my area like them that way...but I've been plucking ever since and its a pain to shape them myself! There is a brow bar in Savannah GA which is about an hour 1/2 from where I live and I think I might have to check it out next time I'm there! Thanks for posting about this...i've always been curious about threading but don't know anyone who's had it done!
