She Said Beauty

Hi all

If you are tapped into the whole beauty scene/community, you will probably be more than aware that there is a new beauty box on the block in the form of She said Beauty.

The first box from this company is not due until March so i have no idea if it's any good, however the price is reasonable (£9 + £2.95 p&p) and right now they are offering you 25% off your first box if you subscribe. The principle is the same as glossybox, etc- you receive 5 luxury samples in a lovely box each month.
Everyones lips are sealed about what brands the box will have or what is in the first box (first boxes are always biggies). I've signed up to the gift package they have, to see if it's any good.

Will you be signing up?

The Wonderful World of... Soap & Glory

Thought i would share with you my small collection of Soap & Glory products. This is one of my favourite ranges, they all smell fantastic and 'do what they say on the tin' basically!
Boots are usually really good at having a 3 for 2 offer on this range, they also sell fabulous Soap & Glory gift sets at christmas time (which was what Santa brought me this year).
Soap & Glory have also launched thier own cosmetics range recently, which looks very promising.

Here are some products from the range that i love...

'The Breakfast Scrub'

One of my favourite products has to be 'The Breakfast Scrub', which is a body exfoliator with Oats, Shea Butter,  Organic cupuau bio scrubs, Bananas, Almond and Honey extracts. It smells divine, has a maple scent and a gritty texture (hich is what you would expect from an exfoliator). Always leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth. This comes in a 300ml tub and costs around £9.45.

'Calm one Calm all'

Another favourite of mines is the 'Calm one Calm All' bubble bath, which again smells great. Intented to calm/de-stress you whilst in the tub and leave your skin soft at the same time. This costs around £5 odds and comes in a 500ml bottle. You cant go wrong with a good bubble bath can you.

My latest purchase is this...

'Clear Here Moisture Lotion'

After reading some pretty good reviews about this product, i decided to try it out.
"An all day face cream moisturiser great for oily skin" I have only just started using this so cant give my verdict yet. Shall report back once it has been properly tried and tested. This is a 50ml tube and costs around £9.

So there you have it, i've declared my love for Soap & Glory. Do you have any favourites?

Januarys 'Valentines' GlossyBox

Hi there ladies,

This is my FIRST ever blog post so please... bear with me! Sorry about the quality and lack of photos, will do better next time :)

This is just a quick post about Glossybox's January box which has a Valentines Day theme, was absoloutely thrilled to see this being delivered this morning (easily pleased)

First of all i have to mention the box itself, its a fabulous hot pink colour- very chic limited edition as was the red crimbo box we received. Comes packaged very nicely with a little pink heart as the sticker. Will probably use this box for storage as its so lovely.
Second of all, the contents. I was very pleased with the box i received! There was only one item (which i shall swap) that wasnt really 'me'.

The contents were:

Eyeko Skinny eyeliner in Powder pink

This is full sized, which i think retails for around £9 odds, i received the powder pink colour, which is a pale dusky pink. First impressions... yeah really nice. However, its just not my colour, this will be swapped on beauty box swaps. Would have really loved the blue or emerald green.

Murad Skin Perfecting Primer

"create a smooth resilient canvas while minimising the appearance of pores"
This is a 5ml sample of the primer, i tried it on the back of my hand and the primer is slightly tinted. It has a nice dewy effect, looking forward to trying this out. I'm always seeking a really good primer, as i have very oily skin i was delighted to see it was 'oil free'.

F.A.B Gentle Body Wash

I've been contemplating buying something from this range for a while as ive glanced at it in boots so many times (dont know why i havent yet) . So again i'm looking forward to trying this. Claims to cleanse, calm redness and releive dry skin, which are all positives in when it comes to body wash.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm

This product really got me excited! Its for your hair, face and body, its a conditioning balm. I received a 75ml sample, which is a pretty big tube! I've never heard of the brand 'Davines' before so am eager to try it out.

Davines Authentic Cleanising Nectar

At first glance i was slightly confused as to what to do with it, however after further reading- its a moisturising oil like texture you can shampoo your hair with and use on your face and body.

There was also a small glossy box sweetie in the box, a nice little finishing touch!

Shall review the products further once i've managed to test all of them out properly.

Sorry for the lack of pictures again, just started the blog today! My next post will be better, i promise.

What did you think of January's Glossybox?
