Bonjour ladies,
So after a long, hard day at work- i returned home to find that my first Joliebox had finally decided to bless me with its presence. It feels like i've waited an eternity for this box to come, so i was more than excited to here it had finnaly arrived.
It's the same idea as Glossybox, etc. You pay £10 + P&P each month and receive a lovely box (or in this case a lovely bag within a box) filled with four to five exclusive, hand-picked beauty samples.
The packaging looks very chic. I really like the idea of the little drawstring bag within the box, it's a nice touch. Adds a certain flare to it i think.
Heres the contents
Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Pink
"An all-natural, multi- purpose stain that adjusts its colour to your mood and temperature."
I really love this even if it is tiny. It turns out a nice sort of deep pink on my lips, it feels really nourishing aswell.
Lavera Basis Sensitive Organic Hand Cream
"An organic hand cream with Shea butter and Almond extracts"
I received this in my Latest in Beauty Refresh & Recover Box last month.Don't get me wrong, it's a great little hand cream, i just feel like i've got creams and lotions coming out my ears at the moment.
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
"This ultra-conditioning hair masque will rebuild damaged hair for improved shine and elasticity."
I tried this a few weeks ago from my Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Set, i really liked it so i'm pleased. This comes in a sachet, it smells divine.
RMK Ceansing Oil
"A cleansing oil with a refreshing scent of mint and Damascus Rose"
Oh, i'm intrigued about this product. The only thing that makes it slightly 'blah' is that it's a sachet.
TAJJ Himalaya Micellar Water
"An antioxidant and tonic make-up remover that will revitalise and purify skin"
Really looking forward to trying this out, comes in a decent sized bottle too. Heres hoping it removes those pesky panda eyes.
There was also a Joliebox concealer brush as an added extra.
Overall, i'm pleased with my first Joliebox. It's full of products that i will use, i agree with the majority that it does lack the 'wow' factor but i'm not dissatisfied with it. I shall be continuing with my subscription and am looking forward to what may be in store for us with the next box.
What did you make of this months Joliebox?

Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Set
Hi lovelies,
So today i'm going to talk about the Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Set that i got for my Christmas.
I was expeciting my Jolie Box to arrive today but no luck :( I shall blog about it when it finally decides to arrive.
I asked for this from Santa as i had read a lot of rave reviews about it, i did want to try Morrocan Oil but opted for this instead.
I done some research on how much this set costs, it varies from place to place but its around £23.50 at cheapsmells.com .
My verdict:
It makes your hair smell absolutely delicious.
I love brushing my hair and getting a little whiff of the macadamia.
The Nourishing Leave-In Cream works a treat on damaged locks.
The Healing Oil doesn't agree with my hair one bit, this may be down to me having quite greasy hair as is it, it just seems to make my hair look extremely wet, which is
disappointing as this was the one product i was looking forward to trying the most from the set *sigh*.
I haven't used the comb yet. But the shampoo and rinse are great, again they leave your hair quenched with a lovely scent.
Overall it's a great little set, which allows you to try most of the products. I'm glad Santa brought me it. Also comes in a cute little bag.
I saw that this set is coming soon to BuyaPowa, so keep your eyes peeled for it there if your interested in grabbing a bargain.
Have you tried anything from the Macadamia Natural Oil range?

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in 'June'
Hello ladies,
Well today my other half returned from being away abroad on a stag and to my surprise, he brought me back a lovely little gift...
I've been lusting over this particular shade for a while now so i was delighted to see it! It's part of Chanel's new Spring Collection and is called June (539). It costs around £17.50 and comes in a 13ml bottle.
The shade is beautiful, very spring and summery. A nice injection of colour to brighten up these cold and dull days. However, it does require a few coats, that is my only criticism.
I think he has earned extra brownie points by bringing me back this little gem.
What do you ladies think about the colour, yay or nay?
Oh and don't forget to follow Poochy-tails, Eyelshes & Nails if you wish to be entered in my March Mini Giveaway.

'Combining subtle tinted lip gloss with DuWop's Lip Venom to create Venom Gloss.' I received this in the shade Buttercup, looks lovely. I've heard a lot of great things about DuWop's Lip Venom, cant wait to try it out.
Impress Press-On Manicure
Impress by Broadway Nails is the revolutionary way to apply polish. Simply peel off, press on and done!' I received these in a Zebra print pattern, again i cant wait to try them out. I'm a nail polish and false nail addict so was pleased to see these in my box. This is full size and costs £17.40.
Paul Mitchell Quick Slip
'A clean, light weight, conditioning styling product that provides soft, flexible hold, UV protection and reduced dry time.' I've only ever tried Paul Mitchell's heat protection spray so i'm looking forward to trying this aswell.
BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow
'Award winning pure mineral eyeshadow. Cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.' I got a pink shade with a slight gold undertone to it, i've never really dabbled in the world of mineral make up but i'm not too sure about the shade, hmm.
Como Shambhala
'A revitalising blend of essential oils that puts you in a perfectly uplifted mood.' You can never go wrong with shower gel.
Overall, i'm quite pleased with my box this month, i love the lipgloss and nails. I shall be trying out all my products soon. Oh there was also a little card, something about 'expect the unexpected'? You have to check back at the GlossyBox site from Februrary the 27th, oh im intrigued!
What did you all get in your GlossyBox ladies?

My First 'Threading' Experience
Hello lovelies,
So as the post tittle suggests, yesterday i got my eyebrows threaded for the first time and believe me this was long overdue. I usually just get them waxed and tinted from my friend, who is a brilliant beautician. However, i've been neglecting my eyebrows lately and i've been sporting some very untidy brows.
Yesterday i was indulging in some Saturday shopping at my local shopping centre, when i was in Superdrug and noticed they had opened a 'Super Brow Bar' within the shop. Perfect oppertunity to get my unruly brows tamed right there and then.
They had a promotion on, it was £5 to get them threaded, i also opted to get them tinted aswell so the total was £15. I have to say, i'am very pleased with them. It was a bit 'ouchy' but the results out weighed the pain and it only took about 10 minutes. I'm very pleased with the tint aswell. As i have quite fair hair, i always feel the need to use my Benefit Brow Zings kit in medium. I think i'm still going to use this to give them a little more definition but i wont be relying on it so much.

Here they are! Please excuse the 'no makeup', Sunday is my day of not wearing a scrap of it :) |
I think i prefer getting them threaded over getting them waxed. I really want to try the whole HD Brows but its quite expensive, maybe as a special Birthday treat.
Have any of you lovely ladies had your eyebrows threaded?
